PARIS DESIGN WEEK 2019

September 2019, during the Paris design week in Paris, we were pleased to open our showroom for a night, the occasion to show our new pieces in an exclusive set design in collaboration with Neolith France.

After the moon themed surrealistic environment of our last show in Milan, we created another mineral décor. The geometric shapes cut in Neolith natural stone where arranged in 5 dramatical scenes bathed in a gold light.

The Block lounge chair by Jonas Lutz and the Planet chair by Jean-Baptiste Souletie were presented in various fabrics and finishes, ranging from very quiet velvets and bouclettes in muted tones to the colorful and textured Raf Simons by Kvadrat latest creations Atom and Argos.

The two-seaters version of the Block armchair was presented for the first time.

Do not hesitate to come visit us !

The showroom is open by appointment

from Monday to Thursday, 9h30-18h / Friday, 9h30-16h.

SALONE DEL MOBILE 2019

April 2019, La Chance presented its cosmic booth at the Fiera Rho, during the Salone del Mobile in Milan : 80 sqm space to show new and iconic pieces of the collection.

In the same mood as Maison & Objet La Chance’s booth last January, the classic pieces and the new creations were presented in a moon themed surealistic environment. The presentation was organized  in 6 scenes set before a lunar landscape background, creating an interesting play with the textures and reflections of the products.

PLANET chair by Jean-Baptiste Souletie

Planet is an upholstered chair inspired by the distinctive silhouette of planet Saturn. The rings of the 6th planet from the solar system are mostly composed of ice particles and form a smooth ellipsis that inspired the shape of the wooden back supporting the round cushion of Planet. The subtle texture of solid wood paired with the delicate touch of a wool broadcloth by Maison Pierre Frey give the Planet a soft and luxurious feel. The Planet chair combines the poetry of celestial bodies with the cold technicity of space modules as the mat black metal structure brings a contrasting technical feel.

BLOCK lounge chair by Jonas Lutz

Block is a lounge armchair inspired by the Brutalist architectural movement. Two massive blocks of walnut which are the structure and the armrests, give the armchair its singular silhouette. This geometric identity is balanced by the lightness and comfort of the seat upholstered in a Bouclette fabric or a luxurious sheepskin.

ZAG coat hooks by Studio Bling

Zag is a family of coat hooks. Their varied shapes are inspired by barrettes, pins, or twisted metal rods combined to create a graphic composition. Each element offers a different way to hang your clothes, your bag, or any accessory. The modern ‘sans serif’ fonts simple and strong shapes were used by Bling studio to create these metal shapes. The lines intersect and combine to create graphic shadows on your wall. You can create your own sculptural composition by combining the Zag elements. 3 sets of 2 Zag hooks are available with different colors. You can combine them for a visually infinite number of compositions.

FAX pendant lamps by Jean-Baptiste Souletie

The Fax pendant lamp is a large marble pendant light. The flat LED dimable source is surrounded by a thin slab of marble (white, green, or black) held by four brass bolts with gilloche pattern. The 3 shapes (rectangle, oblong, or ‘stamp edge’) allow to create numerous compositions.  The overall thickness is only 3cm.

SALONE DEL MOBILE 2018

From April 17th to 22th 2018, let’s discover the new La Chance suite and secret bar at the Salone del Mobile, in Milan. New products and new finishes, come and see our iconic pieces Hall6 D36.

For the Salone del Mobile, the Sunday collection designed by La Chance studio is getting bigger and La Chance presents its first bed : solid walnut frame, marble legs and headboard with a luxurious Lelievre upholstery.

Sunday is a family of dinner tables, coffee tables and console tables made of marble legs and a wooden top. The different species of stone and wood have been carefully selected and permit an infinite number of combinations to create unique and timeless pieces.

Bump is a collection of cabinets in galvanized steel and marble. The name comes from the ‘Bump’ on each door where you push to open the doors.

Galvanization is a process traditionally associated with heavy industry and used to protect metals against corrosive substances. Steel is submerged in a bath of protective molten yellow zinc which creates this unique iridescent colour and shades.

A Bump prototype was first presented at Spazio Rossana Orlandi in Milan 2016 by Czech Designers Jan Plechac & Henry Wielgus. This piece was the base concept for a 2 years work between La Chance and the designers to develop the Bump collection of credenza and cabinets.

NEW FINISHES FOR OUR ICONIC PIECES

Presented last year in Milan, the long version of the Borghese sofa by Noé Duchaufour Lawrance is today presented in a crazy white “Lama” fabric from the Maison Lelievre.

In the background, the limited edition of our Ronin Chair with Pierre Frey Fabric and exclusive marble back is presented around a Mewoma table with an indian green marble top.

Our Cross rug is also now available in two other color combinations and re-discover our Iconic standing mirror with a crazy black Marquina marble.

SALONE DEL MOBILE 2017

April 2017, La Chance presented its classics and new pieces of the 2017 collection during the Salone del Mobile in Milan.

Interior designers asked for it and La Chance did it! The Borghese Sofa is now available in a longer and even more sculptural version (248cm vs. 188cm).

Ideal for hotel lobbys and larger spaces. In addition, La Chance brings new fabrics and finishes for bespoke projects.

La Chance had an instant crush on Bump  when it  was first presented at Spazio Rossana Orlandi  in 2016. We decided to work with the successfull czech duo Jan&Henry on an updated version. The Credenza is made of metal with a marble top. Bump’s  iridescent color reminds the reflects of the beetle’s carapace. Indeed, the insect (the same as in our logo) was the theme for 2017 products.

La Chance presented in Milan the work of Swedish artist: the pieces will be on the show among La Chance collection. Jenny Nordberg is a conceptual artist working on unique mirrors. They are a part of the “3 to 5 second project”: the idea was to present “almost ready mades”. The artist drops liquid silver on glass to create the uneven and one of a kind pieces. Perception is troubled by the blend of transparency and reflection.
