ECKARTSAU CASTLE
June 2021, Behan&Thurm (David Tekeli) designed the interior of the Eckartsau Castle in Austria.
Jean-Baptiste Souletie’s Planet chairs are beautifully displayed in the residential office space of the Österreichische Bundesforste (ÖBf – Austrian Forest and Lumber Industry), next to Note Design Studio’s armchairs, who have also designed several projects for La Chance.

Eckartsau Castle is an important historical place : Kaiser Karl, the last emperor of Austria signed his abdication there before he had to leave the country. The castle also constitutes a typical historical scenery, in which some parts of the famous movie Sissi where shot.
Nowadays, some areas of the castle can be used for events like weddings, hence the soft hues, smooth materials and round shapes chosen by the architect.
